Hello Pussycat Vintage readers! I'm honored to be sponsoring and to be featured on Nicole's blog. I wish her and her family the best.
I wanted to share with you a new nail art technique I learned. It's a bit time consuming. So be patient (I had a hard time the first couple times) and willing to make mistakes. I believe this takes a little trial and error. But once you get it down, you'll have the coolest looking nails in town. Or extremely close to it!

You'll want to have a solid color on your nails before dipping. This ensures that you will have the entire nail covered with color. Also, I would recommend Sally Hansen's nail polish. It seems to be thicker than a lot of nail polishes and also doesn't separate as much when it is dropped in the water. You're welcome to try whatever polishes you have on hand though.

Be sure to cover about a half inch past your nail with masking tape. This will hopefully make clean up easier once the paint is dry. Don't forget to tape the finger tip also, since you'll be dipping the entire nail inside the cup.

Start with one color of polish and place a drop in the water. Alternate polishes until you have about four drops. Then, use a toothpick and swirl the polish on top of the water. Dip your finger so the nail takes the polish down with it. Wait a few seconds then clear the excess polish with a toothpick. The extra polish on top of the water should harden after about 10 seconds and will cling to the pick.
You should let your nails dry completely before taking the tape off. You can clean up the mistakes around the nail with a q-tip and some nail polish remover. Or, if you're lazy like me, just wait for the polish to wash off in a couple days.
Each time you do it your nails will look different and unique! I like that part.
